What do I do if my power is out?

Check CMP’s outage map first. If your home isn’t on it, report the outage online or call CMP at 1 (800) 696-1000. If you see a downed wire, stay far away from it and call CMP right away.

Can I choose a different electricity supplier?

Yes. In Maine you can buy your electricity supply from another company. CMP still delivers it, sends the bill and fixes outages. You can compare offers on the Maine Public Advocate’s supply page (maine.gov/meopa).
